What got flagged, fixed, or dropped — from the pipeline's own log.
Every video and audio script this site produces — Shorts, the Daily Recap, the podcast — is generated and then checked by a separate LLM pass against the original source articles' text before anything is narrated or published. A script that fails gets one revision pass and is checked again. If it still fails, it's dropped — not softened, not published with a disclaimer. Dropped.
The check compares our script to what the source actually said. It cannot judge whether the source itself got the story wrong — if an outlet misreports something, a faithful summary of that report will pass. (The About page covers how corrections work when that happens.) It also runs on the stories that become video or audio, not on every headline listed on the homepage — those are ranked directly from the source feeds themselves.
These counts come straight from the pipeline's own log, covering July 28, 2026, 07:00 PM through July 29, 2026, 12:16 AM. That window is short on purpose: the log is trimmed to roughly its last 4,000 lines, so it typically spans a day or two. We state the real window instead of dressing it up as "this week."
One honest caveat about "flagged": scripts that pass the first check aren't individually logged, so that number counts failures caught — not the total number of checks run. Every published script was checked; only the ones that failed leave a line in the log.
The honest version of "we fact-check everything" includes the times the check caught our own drafts being wrong. A flagged-then-fixed script is the system working; a dropped script is the system choosing silence over a claim it couldn't verify. Publishing those counts — including the unflattering ones — is the point.
